Bad design

Both the FM radio and the MP3 functions in my mobile phone are meant for entertainment. However, unlike the MP3 function, the FM radio will not function when there is no earphone attached to it.

Despite having two options, the absence of a earphone will leave users only with the number of MP3 stored in the mobile phone. Unlike portable radios which allow more than one user to listen to music through the speakers at the same time, this radio function in the mobile phone does not do the same despite having speakers also. Users get annoyed when they can listen to the limited range of music stored in the phone but not the FM radio.

When asked a few classmates who are using the same mobile phone as me, one of them commented: "I still have to bring a portable radio to picnics. My phone can blast the MP3s on the speakers but not the radio channels. I can't possibly play the MP3s for long because it drains the battery faster than the radio does."

Possible modification would be to make it as user friendly as how the MP3 function works.

Overall, satisfaction is there for that particular model of mobile phone and the functions it contain. The brand has been very reliable in general. Most users, including me, just have to depend on the MP3 function if we do forget to bring their earphone when leaving the house.
